Hi, I’m Emma–The founder, creative director, and fashion entrepreneur behind Gemma Bridal!
I learned to use a sewing machine in second grade, and then great dresses immediately became The Plan.
My love of sewing and bridal collided at sixteen, when I landed my first job at a local bridal shop in my hometown of Parkersburg, West Virginia. Early in my career, I became immersed in the bridal world and realized I wanted brides to experience something more personal than big box bridal, without the intimidating energy of traditional luxury salons.
So I created Gemma Bridal.
Inspired by the warmth and familiarity of my small town roots, Gemma blends cozy, welcoming bridal appointments with a fashion-forward point of view. We bring handmade gowns and hidden gem designers to Pittsburgh in a way that’s pressure-free and personal.
Every dress at Gemma is hand selected by me with individuality and craftsmanship front and center. I’m always searching for designers and collections that feel fresh and unexpectedly perfect for you.

Hi, I’m Maggie! If you’ve visited Gemma Bridal, there’s a good chance we’ve already talked all about dresses, scrolled your Pinterest boards, or yapped about what song should be playing when you find The One.
I studied fashion merchandising at the University of Delaware and spent years working in costume and wardrobe for theatre, film, and television before joining Gemma Bridal. What I love most about my time at Gemma is getting to create a personal experience for every bride who walks through the door.
I’m here to help you have fun, feel comfortable, and find a gown you won’t want to take off.
Outside the shop, I’m usually at a concert, doing yoga, hanging out with my cats, or finding a reason to celebrate something. I can’t wait to meet you and see what catches your eye!
